In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the leading social networking applications on iOS in Egypt showcased varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw an increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 53.9K by the end of June. Active users for Threads also rose steadily, starting at 1.38M and reaching around 1.5M by the quarter's end.

Telegram Messenger experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a notable peak at around $3.4K in mid-May. Downloads varied slightly, with a high of 17K in mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 4.56M and closing at 4.48M.

Messenger maintained consistent download numbers, with a slight uptick to 8.5K in early June. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 5.34M and ending at 5.21M.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 10.8K in early June. Active users remained relatively stable, maintaining around 7.1M throughout the quarter.

Facebook experienced steady revenue, reaching a high of $3.2K in early April. Downloads showed an upward trend, peaking at 8.7K in early June. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at approximately 6.33M.
